Technological issues with multimodal touch input devices

International audience. Tactile devices have drawn increasing research attention in the last decades. Althoughdifferent techniques and technologies have been designed and developed to stimulate ourtactile mechanoreceptors, a challenge is to combine this stimulation with other sensemodalities such as visual and auditory. In this talk, we will review the hardware designs thatallow robustness, reliability, modularity and transportability of the next generationmultimodal tactile interfaces.
