International audience. The study of a system is often achieved by the determination of relations linking the studied variables to input data. In some cases, the explicit writing of these functions is not easy, and sometimes even not possible, because of the complexity of the phenomena involved. The Design of Experiment Method (DoEM) can constitute a simple methodological formalism adapted to this goal. In any case, this approach aims to build a model – very simple preferably – linking input and output variables, with the use of numerical results, obtained thanks to the realisation of a series of experiments fixed a priori: this is the design of experiments. A first part introduces the main aspects of the DoEM. Then, many optimisation algorithms, based on this method, are presented. This particular use of the DoEM as a basis of heuristic methods, constitutes an originality. Two applications are presented : the study of a linear eddy current and an analytical fonction with two different maximum. MOTS-CLÉS : optimisation, méthode des plans d'expériences, systèmes électrotechniques. .
